"I Am In Love With My Work" And Other Lies You Tell Yourself On Valentine's Day

She asked you to surrender your "all", but you waggishly replied: “Are you the police, or perhaps Jesus Christ?" And that was when it all went to the pot for you, not because you were in love with school or your work, not because you were not ready to mingle; you are single because you got dumped.

You thought she'd have a laugh and say: “I’m being serious", rather, she enrolled your relationship into the way of all flesh, and held it's funeral by announcing your breakup on Facebook.

Relax; it is okay to be single. It is not entirely your fault that you are dolt and can't let a chance at humour pass you by.

You can be a single man or woman without reason(s); don't believe the hype. Relationships are complicated enough, why burden your singlehood with societal expectations? Love finds us all eventually.
