Night-Night

When I can't sleep, I take long walks to reflect and sometimes, unwind. The other night, I brought my camera along and took some photos:

The one where I was bit by a shutter bug and became a shutterbug

On the first day of this term, my photojournalism lecturer introduced me to the workings of DSLR camera, and I have been in love since. And so these happened:

10 movies you must watch before you die (1990-2010) Part 3.

3. Pulp Fiction

What do Samuel L Jackson, John Travolta, and Uma Thurman have in common? – becoming famous off this movie. The Quentin Tarantino masterpiece, which was the first independent film to grossmore than $200 million, is number one on many people’s lists.

2. Shawshank Redemption

Hailed as one of the most beloved films of all time, Shawshank, which was not an instant hit because of its apparently difficult to pronounce title, is the quintessential prison break film, with a soulful premise. Eat excrement, Michael Scofield.

1. Forrest Gump

Tom Hanks cements his dominance in this list with the number one spot. Forrest Gump never gets old or out of touch. Very few films incorporate comedy, drama, and action with such seamlessness. You must watch it before you go the way of all flesh, because I said so.

10 movies you must watch before you die (1990-2010) Part 2.

6. Saving Private Ryan
Arguably one of the best opening sequences you'll ever see on film.

5. The Green Mile

Two things in life are false: all cats are cute and Tom Hanks is not a genius. The later is as false as falsehood can be. This film may be boring to some, but it is a fascinating and well-told story.

4. Fight Club

This is one the most ridiculous, and yet awesome things to ever grace the world of film.
